Currently: Writing ]Thought I'd pay around with this. I post very sporadically on a few other blogs, but none are devoted to writing.
Stuff I'm Working On
Coyote Laid Low: A fairly odd idea with lots of potential. CLL is set 20-30 years from now in an age of 'hyperconnection' (I'll post more on my personal theories about that and 'the symbolflow' later). Put simply, it's an optimistic cyperpunk future.
I don't buy the idea that intense and pervasive communication would create a society filled with angst-ridden, alienated, amoral jerks. In fact, I think what our world needs most is better, faster, more intimate communication. Lack of communication causes conflict. While I truly doubt that there will ever be a human society free from conflict, I can certainly imagine one less predicated on it.
CLL takes place in a society undergoing rapid change. Hyperconnection and the accelerating speed and power of computer system has allowed individuals to create 'familiars': near-AI multi-phasic expert systems that function as that individuals lawyer, secretary, researcher, trade specialist, accountant, etc. Imagine them as that imaginary friend of your childhood that can actually get things done. 
This has led in a decentralization of governmental power. In the US, most 'governments' are city states, surrounded by Free Zones.
Into this future comes something from our past, long thought lost. The 'trickster' spirits of Indian legend are returning.
A very challenging project, but I'm enjoying it. I've worked out a pretty good SFnal explanation for the Tricksters: what they are, where they come from, why they left and why they are coming back.
I'll keep you all posted.
Various Stories For My Collection
Of the 12, I've finished 7, have 2 in rough draft form, and am variously blocking and procrastinating on 3. *sigh* So much to write, so little time.
